Mommy & Boog time...

If your 2 year old is being quiet, you should worry!

This is Boog covered head to toe in baby powder.
While I was doing laundry, I noticed how quiet the house was & went searching for Boog.  He had a brand new bottle of baby powder that he opened and sprinkled around his room and put all over himself.

Later on, he made a "gate" or "wall" with things in his room.

All in all, it's been a pretty good day.  We played in the pool.  I let him soak me.
I basically just sat beside his little kiddie pool while we threw water at each other.
He would get a bucket of water and say, "You want this Mommy.  I am going to give it to you."
Then he would douse me.  When we went inside, I told him that he soaked me.  He said, "Mommy, you can't soak a wet butt."  LOL.  I don't know where he comes up with these phrases.

He had a hard time seeing 'cause the sun was in his face.
This is our kiddie pool and tent. LOL.

Tim washed the cars.  I let Boog jump on the trampoline and then we took his tricycle to the road and he mastered peddling.  I was really proud of him.
I enjoyed spending so much quality time with him today.

Bored to death...

I am super bored today.  Jill left for a week in Panama.  Lucky girl.  I would give my pinky toe to have a weeks paid vacation on the beach.  She took LB and Baby girl home today.  Josh is home from the road for a bit.  We all have missed him.  I took the kids over to Mimi's to see him. Boog has been on a hyper binge.  He kept smacking Mimi and saying, "Mimi, you got knocked out."  It's really hard to not laugh at him when he is acting up.  Both babies' took a nap so I went to Wally World to buy up a few groceries.  Tim got to leave training early and pulled up 5 minutes after I did in the driveway.  ; )  I am going to refill Boog's pool so we can "swim" tomorrow.  The weather is supposed to be amazing.

Random Thursday...

I missed out on Random Tuesday....so I am doing Random Thursday today...

  • Yesterday I went to Cullman and saw Cassie and her family.  We were going to go swimming but her pool was a little green.  LOL.  (from the rain)  We had a really good day.  Afterwards, we all met Tim at a Chinese place and ate dinner.
  • After Cullman, Jill, the babies' and myself, went to Montevallo to pick up Baby Girl and LB.  We were stuck on I-59 forever because of the AWFUL wreck that I mentioned yesterday.
  • After a busy week, I decided that I wasn't going anywhere today.  I have sat in my PJ's all day long and it has been wonderful!!!
  • I have really enjoyed spending time with Baby Girl and LB.  They haven't spent the night with me in a little over a year and I missed them a lot.  Teenagers these days keep you very entertained.
  • We have had a ROUGH month with all of the tornado's and storms coming through Alabama and the winds are horrible today.  The power has been out over an hour or two.  A friend of mine had damage to her home and her dog pen.  Her yard was full of broken trees and limbs.      ; (
  • Tomorrow is Friday which means I get the weekend with my Hubby!!!
  • I cleaned Boog's room and it took me over an hour.  Messy little booger.
  • Charlotte and Cheech hate storms and they are trying to break out of their pen.
  • That is all for now, LOL.

Wordless Wednesday...(but not really)

I was stuck on the interstate after this happened.  Here is what happened...
ARGO, Alabama -- Some of the victims killed in a car crash on Interstate 59 Wednesday evening were Hurricane Katrina survivors who had relocated to Birmingham and then Chattanooga, Tennessee, after the 2005 storm took everything they had.
The family was en route to see a friend graduate from Hoover High School when they broke down in a traffic lane near Argo and were struck from behind by an 18-wheeler.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the victims as Viola Smith, 41, her daughter Joan Smith, 22; her grandson Jayden Smith, five weeks, and another relative, 3-year-old Darrell Turner III, all of Chattanooga.
Darrell's mother was injured in the crash, as was another family member -- a 15-day-old infant. They are in critical condition.
The family had left Chattanooga Wednesday to attend the graduation ceremony.
"I keep telling everybody it's in God hands," said Joan Willis of Chattanooga, who lost her daughter, granddaughter and two great-grandsons in the deadly crash. "I've got to believe all of my babies are in God's hands."
The accident happened just before 5 p.m. Wednesday when authorities say the car carrying the victims broke down on the interstate.
The car was stopped in a traffic lane when it was struck from behind by the tractor-trailer truck, killing the four and injuring the other two.
The 18-wheeler overturned in a ditch just off the roadway. That driver was hospitalized with unknown injuries.
Trooper Cpl. Steve Smith say another person was also injured in the accident that happened at mile marker 145 near Argo in Jefferson County.
The injured were taken to UAB, Children's Hospital, Brookwood and St. Vincent's East. All northbound lanes were shut down for more than five hours following the deadly crash.

So sad.......If your car ever breaks down on the interstate & you can't get it out of the road, please, please, please, get your family out of the car & a safe distance away from traffic and call 911.

Fender Bender Tuesday...

Today I had to go to Gadsden to return Tim's store keys to Marvins.
I was going to do this yesterday and accidentally left them at home. ; (
While at Walmart, I saw a very interesting person that I needed to catch up with.
I decided to follow that person.  LOL.  Amanda, P.I.
I am the worst PI in the world.  The car I was following turned into Johnson's parking lot.
I followed and found a comfy parking space with a decent view.  The old man parked next to me had the ideal spot, so when he moved, I decided to jump on in his slot to grab a better view.
Low and behold............Mrs. Primpy Prissy Primp in her convertible Chrysler came out of nowhere and I backed right into her.  Ugh.
This is my car below.  I actually busted my tail light but didn't know it at the time I took this picture.

The white car is Mrs. Primpy's.  I exchanged paint with her.
I guess I need to stick with being a Mommy and not a PI.
Lesson Learned.
